HSPC Health Architects Founded

Founded on 1 October 1990, HSPC was built on a shared vision to deliver excellence in hospital design and health planning in Australia.

Werribee

Werribee Mercy Hospital

Mercy Health expanded their services to the outer western suburbs of Melbourne by opening Werribee Mercy Hospital. In the early 1990s, the population of Wyndham had exceeded 60,000 and the local community needed a general hospital to meet its ever-expanding healthcare needs.

Western Hospital Opens

Western Hospital completes the Pathology, Anatomy & Histology Labratories at the Footscray Campus.

LaTrobe Uni Medical Centre

LaTrobe University Medical Centre created an integrated Care Centre and Hospital, adding operating theatres, surgical beds, diagnostic imaging, physiotherapy and new hydrotherapy pool.

Alfred Health

Over a 5 year span, $100m was spent at The Alfred Campus, with projects including Emergency Services & Intensive Care Unit, Burns Unit, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, Cancer & Haematology.

Prince Court Medical Centre

Prince Court Medical Centre is a private, tertiary and quaternary hospital in central Kuala Lumpur. The hospital prioritises patient‑first care, combining clinical excellence with comfort and hospitality to deliver comprehensive services under one roof.

Oasis Hospital Under Construction

Oasis is a 110‑bed hospital offering medical, surgical, obstetrics, paediatric, rehabilitation, critical care, urgent care, day procedures, and outpatient services. The design reimagined a culturally and environmentally response, enhancing both community amenity and the city.

Warrnambool District Base Hospital Completed

HSPC played a vital role in the significant expansion of South West Healthcare's Warrnambool District Base Hospital, providing a comprehensive suite of services encompassing master planning, design, documentation, and meticulous delivery.

Northpark Private Hospital

The expansion included additional operating theatres, private rooms, specialist clinics, and allied health services, delivering integrated, patient‑focused care to Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

Launceston Integrated Care Centre Completed

The new Launceston Integrated Care Centre provides a new model of integrated care services for the community.

Cabrini Health

A new hybrid theatre was conceived with mixing a conventional operating theatre with advanced imaging technology, enabling large surgical teams to perform minimally invasive procedures with maximum precision and safety.

South Eastern Private Hospital Expands

HSPC has been a dedicated partner in the ongoing development of South Eastern Private Hospital. In 2015 a 60-bed Mental Health unit was completed, featuring inpatient treatment rooms, consulting spaces, and group therapy areas designed to support those with mood disorders, anxiety, and depression

Hurstville Private Hospital

HSPC led the design and delivery of a comprehensive seven level expansion to the original Hurstville Private Hospital. Integral to our design approach was ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the hospital throughout the construction process.

St John of God Bendigo

In 2016, St John of God Benidgo added a 3-storey building with 52 new beds with allowance for future expansion. The scope included the redevelopment of the existing entrance area to create a more dynamic identity and enhance visitor experience.

Latrobe Regional Hospital Stage 2

La Trobe Regional Hospital Stage 2 was designed with the aim of significantly improving access to high-quality healthcare services for the Gippsland community, ensuring that residents can receive essential medical care close to home.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee

In partnership with St Vincent’s, this project delivered a four-level private hospital in Melbourne’s growing western suburbs, establishing a new facility within the Werribee health precinct.

Mirridong Aged Care

HSPC collaborated with Japara (now Calvary Aged Care) to design a dementia expansion seamlessly integrated into the existing Mirridong Aged Care facility in Bendigo.

Deakin Private Hospital On Site

Working with Barwon Investment Partners, Deakin Private Hospital started as an 1960’s commercial office, transforming through an adapative reuse project into a Mental Health Inpatient facility and Health Hub.

Gosford Private Hospital Expands

The $32 million expansion of Gosford Private Hospital in New South Wales marked an important step in addressing the growing healthcare needs of the Central Coast community.

Wellington

Wakefield Stage 1 Complete

After five years of design and delivery, Stage 1 of the masterplan at Wakefield Hospital was completed to provide a new arrival destination to the hospital, consulting, BOH and radiology. The Hospital is located on the side of a hill (adding to the seismic complexity)and designed to allow seismic movement of 600mm in any direction without major disruption to the facility.

Avive Clinics Open

Delivering two projects for new operator Avive Health, located in Brisbane and Mornington Peninsula, the clinics sets a new benchmark in private mental healthcare, seamlessly blending modern amenities with a patient-centred approach.

Camberwell

Regis Camberwell

Regis Camberwell has been carefully orchestrated to create an aged care environment where architecture serves as a conduit for dignity, comfort, and community. The design objective was to create and incorporate facilities that allowed greater autonomy of residents families to visit privately as if the resident was in their own home. A deliberate attempt was made to articulate the building so that it did not appear institutional.

Eastwood Private Hospital Opens

Eastwood Private Hospital is a boutique, doctor led model hospital in Adelaide’s CBD providing orthopaedic surgery facility, focused on innovative, patient-centred design.
